While on a road trip with my kids a few years ago, we happened upon a restaurant that had audio books available for rent. Simply pick up the audio book of your choice at one location, and drop it off at another location. We tried it, and it certainly did keep the kids quiet for a few hours…this was in the days before DVD’s in cars, of course! I have to say, I’m surprised that the no votes are outweighing the yes votes so far. Alltel Cellular is testing out a new feature that I wish At&T had! Alltel users will now be able to have their voicemail messages turned into text messages, using voice recognition software. Instead of calling your voicemail, entering a password, pressing 1 for new messages, pressing 7 to delete messages…you can just read a text message. I love it!
