I work in spreadsheets. All day long, it’s cells in Excel for me. A lot of what I do is uploaded to a shared server for multiple people to access, but I also zip my files up and email them to various people. Sometimes, those files go to consultants who don’t have emails on our company server, and those people may not have the same data security setup that I have on my laptop. As the files I work on contain a lot of confidential information that our competitors could have a field day with, it’s important that it be secure. One way to send files securely through email is by using SecureZIP, which brings a while new level of data security to your emails and attachments. There’s a reason why the tagline for their site is:
SecureZIP – The next generation of ZIP
Right now, you can download the software to try for free, and even though it’s a free download, this isn’t some lame trial version of SecureZip that doesn’t have access to all of the bells and whistles…they’re offering you the FULLY featured version of the software right now at www.securezip.com. Better hurry though, because it is a limited time promotion.
SecureZIP isn’t just for the workplace either. For instance, I do my mother’s taxes. Using this program, I can email her a copy of those files for her records, because of the high file level security provided with the program. Banking statements, medical records, anything personal and private – it’s all protected, plus SecureZip does a nice little integration with Microsoft Outlook® so you can use the two hand in hand. (I love it when things integrate like that!)
If you’re interested, remember – it’s free right now…so get it while the gettin’ is good.
