Without going into too much detail about my job, some exciting things are happening for me. I work with our PeopleSoft department, and every time we release major modifications, we go through testing them first in a development database, and then we go through a round of user acceptance testing. If you work in a job like mine, your company probably does the same thing. (Some companies do not of course – my old workplace put out rollouts without much testing at all, and I hated it! A little testing goes a long way, especially when you’re letting users of the system do it!)
Anyway, I got handed the responsibility of writing the test plan procedures for our next round of user acceptance testing, and I got a deadline to go along with it, which was shortened by a day due to my being out this Friday. I’m on track and almost done at this point, a whole day early. Phew! It was a ton of work and a new realm of responsibility for me, but I loved it.
